Senior Friendly Fitness

A standalone program for seniors, operating in the Glades — its own classes, its own staff, its own locations in Belle Glade and South Bay. It is listed here because it is who we point families to when the question is about a grandparent rather than a child.

What Senior Friendly Fitness Offers

It works with seniors and nobody else, which is the whole point of it. Classes run in Belle Glade and South Bay, and they are built for the body somebody actually has: chair yoga, resistance training, chair cardio, dance for fitness, outdoor walking groups, balance and fall prevention, wellness coaching, fitness lectures, and classes online for the days getting there is not realistic.

Many of those classes are included at no extra cost for members of qualifying Medicare Advantage plans, through the SilverSneakers program. Whether a particular plan qualifies is a question only that plan and Senior Friendly Fitness can answer — there is an eligibility checker on their site, or you can call them on 561-440-2166. SilverSneakers is a registered trademark of Tivity Health. Bulsajo Taekwondo makes no representation about coverage or eligibility.

Why It Is Listed Here

Because of who is sitting in the chairs. A grandparent who spends forty-five minutes twice a week watching a child train is somebody with forty-five minutes twice a week, and that question comes up in this dojang more often than any other question that is not about Taekwondo.

So this is the answer to it. Senior Friendly Fitness runs its own program, on its own terms, and the details on this page are theirs rather than ours — anything about classes, times, cost or eligibility should come from them directly, at seniorfriendlyfitness.com or on 561-440-2166.
